Henham 10k and childrens 3K Fun Run will take place on Sunday 22nd of May 2011 at 10.30am
The course plan has also been updated and shows the areas designated for parking
Henham is a small village about 6 miles from Stansted Airport and 7 miles north east of Bishops Stortford.
The Henham 10K was founded to raise funds for the Henham & Ugley School & Community Hall 'HUSCH'. The 10K country route is predominantly tracks and footpaths with approx. 3K on road. The terrain is gentle with most inclines steady. The course aims to provide a suitable challenge for serious runners and an enjoyable experience through the Essex countryside for less competitive participants.Download Entry Form Reviews of the 2007 race on Runners World website perhaps will best provide an outsiders view of the run. “ Great event, very family friendly lots of nice extras BBQ, kids games bar” “A very well organised event in aid of a village school. The race runs out of the beautiful Henham Village on a 3k loop before heading back out on a trail. This section was challenging especially in the heat today. A return to road back through the village with masses of local support then a downhill finish back to the school. Got overtaken by an 11 year old at this stage – boy was he fast! A fantastic BBQ Pimms and beer were then on offer.” Sponsors |
